Brushing gives a wheel the character of brushed aluminium: a directional, coarse texture with a technical look.
The wheel is fully worked first, until the aluminium is completely smooth. Then we brush the wheel by hand.
The result looks like coarsely brushed aluminium. Less glossy than a mirror finish, but with a clear direction and texture that catches the light.
Brushing is a popular modern finish for classic multi-piece and one-piece wheels, think BBS RS centres. It works on most aluminium parts.
